Does anybody know of any software that will do FTA video with
these cards?

I've looked all over the net, and found nothing. A couple of
sites (such as www.clark.hr) sell a SAT 1a card that claims to be
able to do this. Since I'm not using an internet by satellite at
the moment, the cyberstream card I have is pretty much junk.

AFAIK there are linux drivers as well, just not in the public
domain.

Otherwise I'm still trying to get a hauppauge dvb-s. I think
Schumy was looking for one as well. Has anyone been able to get
one?

The Hauppauge DVB-S is also known as the Siemens Galaxis and
Technotrend PCLINE. These seem to be the most widely supported
cards, and also have a module that can fit a common interface.
Turn your PC into a cheap PVR. Think it does time lapse as well.

I have a Skystar2 DVB-s card.Excelent value for money,it sells for about 50
Euro's and is the most popular card Europe. There are lots of compatible
software like Progdvb, Mytheatre and DVBviewer. There is also plugins
available to view encrypted channels.

Thanks, think I'll just get one online. Probably the easiest.
